I really love this place, I come here about once every three months. There are so many stalls with so many great foods to choose from. there is a constant flow of people and delivery app people. Much of the food is made to order and many of the noodles are hand pulled. The place can get crowded, but has many seats and tables to accommodate.

If dry hot pot has a million fans, I am one of them. If dry hot pot has one fan, I'm that one. If dry hot pot has no fans, I am gone from this world. If the world is against dry hot pot, then I am against the world. I will profess my love for dry hot pot to anyone who will hear it and I am eternally grateful for New York Food Court for providing me one of my favorite foods. Compared to New World Mall's food court, this place is like a desert (it's not actually that empty, but NWM is packed like a can of sardines at all times) meaning you can actually find seating! Hooray! And they're only a short walk away from each other so if you were planning on eating in NWM, just come here instead. Only con about this place is the universal con for all restaurants/food courts in Flushing - it's kinda dirty. The floors are icky, the tables are usually icky, the door is heavy and hard to open but you're scared to get a good grip on the handle because that's icky too. Don't talk to me about the bathroom because I don't want to know. And you'll probably be treated better if you know some Chinese, which is par for the course in Flushing.

Have to write a separate review for this dumpling spot at New York Food Court. Last time we ordered their pork dumping. It came out perfectly crispy with the filling/meat so very juicy. It was kinda pricey for how much we got but was def worth it for how good it was. More recently, the hubby ordered "crab dumpling" expecting the similar gyoza style pan fried dumpling we got last time. Our order came out in a metal steamer filled with... soup dumpling? We took it as is with no complaints bc a soup dumpling is never a bad mistake. And dare I say it was one of the best soup dumplings I've ever had?? Hands down better than nan Xiang or Shang hai you garden. The dumpling skin was very thin, soup was delicious and doesn't have the fatty texture/taste that you'd sometimes get. The crab tasted fresh and balanced out the pork flavor. Will 100% be back for their soup dumplings and to try out their other menu items!

When it comes to food courts in Flushing, New World Mall (#1) tends to get all the love but I've always had a soft spot for New York Food Court. It has played second fiddle, despite being having same look and largely the same kind of food options. Yet there are some distinct things that separate it from the rest of the pack, which in some ways makes it unique in its own right. Take for instance: * They have their own (small) parking lot. Unlike the larger parking facility at New World Mall, this one is free. It's limited and there is constantly traffic issues all along Roosevelt, this is a big plus. * They have some semblance of outdoor seating. Sure, it's not exactly clean nor does it smell so great, but this was a huge win during the pandemic. And it's covered as well! * It's also above ground. This means cell reception is way easier and check-ins are actually possible for some of the stalls. It's also a guarantee that folks will be fiddling on their phones, while slurping up their food. * On a whole, it's not nearly as crowded as the other food stalls. There is a good amount of seating and it's the perfect place for solo dining or a group meal. Peak times at New World Mall means I'm always having to look for a seat, where as I rarely have that problem here. Lines happen, but it's rarely a problem. Since the space isn't nearly as ginormous, it makes hearing for orders called out way easier. * The pandemic wiped out many of the stalls here (#2), but many new spots have emerged, which still makes this place a destination for new eats. _______________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/new-world-mall-food-court-flushing (#2) And most of the stalls everywhere ...

New York Food Court is one of our go-to places when we are craving for Chinese street food or just a quick lunch fix. The decor is bright and wide-spaced with lots of seating. It's not super clean but much better maintenance than other food courts in the neighborhood in our opinion. Our favorite food is spicy dry pot from Lau Ma, which is delicious with reasonable portion and price. Our complaint is their horrible parking, crowded and hard to have an available spot even during off-peak hours.
